Selection Process:

In the event of the number of applications being large, the CSIR -NGRI will adopt shortlisting criteria to restrict the number of candidates to be called for Written Test / Skill test to a reasonable number by any or more of the following methods:
On the basis of higher educational qualifications than the minimum prescribed in the
advertisement. Any other methodology as deemed fit by Screening Committee.
The selection process for Junior Secretariat Assistant (Gen): Written Exam + Proficiency in Computer type speed and in using computers as per DoPT Norms (Qualifying in nature).
The selection process for Junior Stenographer: Written Exam + Proficiency in Computer type speed and in using computers as per DoPT Norms (Qualifying in nature).
Proficiency Norms for both the postcodes: English Typing @ 35w.p.m. Or Hindi Typing @ 30 w.p.m. 35w.p.m. / 30w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH / 9000 KDPH (Key Depressions per Hour) on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.
