The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) announced the Higher Secondary (Class 12) Examinations Date Sheet 2024, according to which, the WB 12th Exams 2024 began on February 16, 2024 (Friday) and concluded on February 29, 2024 (Thursday). WBCHSE also informed that from the 2024-25 academic session, it has implemented a Semester System for Class 11 & 12 exams. The proposal aims at bringing the two-year exam system under a four-semester system of conducting two board exams after the third and fourth semesters and holding the third-semester exam in the multiple-choice question (MCQ) format. WBCHSE HS Exams Programme 2024
A+ Grade – For marks ranging from 80 to 100, indicating an excellent performance.
A Grade – For marks between 60 to 79, signifying a very good performance.
B Grade – Assigned to marks between 45 to 59, representing a good performance.
C Grade – For marks ranging from 30 to 44, indicating a satisfactory performance.
D Grade – Marks below 30 fall into this category, leading to disqualification or failure.
Passing Marks
To pass the West Bengal Higher Secondary exam, students must achieve a minimum threshold of marks in each subject. The criteria for passing is set at 30% of the total marks for each subject. This means students need to score at least 30 marks out of 100 in each compulsory subject to pass.
